My Story
When I was 16 I entered a modelling competition. Me and a couple of other girls were told we needed to “lose a bit of weight.” Unknowingly, those words stuck with me for years to follow.

I entered the rabbit hole of my first “fad diet.” Barely eating, sticking to the high protein craze at the time and avoiding carbs at all costs. Crazy, when this was a time where my body needed the nutrients it could get to support its physical changes into that of a woman.

I battled with my appearance and strived for perfection. The “perfection” that was to benefit who exactly? Nobody. Because perfection simply doesn’t exist. When I look back I admire all the beautiful women who were in that competition, we all had unique features, shapes and sizes which made us who we were. So, why change that?

In years to follow, I struggled with digestive issues and felt like I was on a hormonal rollercoaster. Luckily enough I gained back my positive relationship with food and discovered a love for cooking and then I created balance. I fell in love with nutrition and my passion for it grew and grew. I then decided to enroll at the prestigous Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION) in London, where I studied for four years and graduated as a Nutritional Therapist. I also worked alongside my own Nutritional Therapist and delved into some of my own underlying health issues and oh boy oh boy did I feel a whole lot better!

I love genuine food, I love the way it can make you feel, whether this is a plate of colourful vegetables or a glass of wine and pizza with friends. They each have a place in my life and no food should be termed good or bad, or a “cheat” - I hate that word!! Negative feelings around food are far more harmful than the food itself.

My purpose is to empower my clients to feel good about themselves, to educate them to make their own food choices and know what feels good for them, to guide them to a healthier and happier version of themselves, to know that our weight and appearance do not define us. But the way we feel and our health can have a huge impact. This will include working together to set realistic and attainable long-term goals, rather than quick-fixes. Keeping up to date with current research studies in nutrition is very important to be able to provide my clients with the best possible advice that they can get.

You are a priority and your body deserves the time and care it needs to feel optimally well.
